Ukrops is a part of my childhood. Since I was a little girl, I’ve been enjoying all the foods that are uniquely Ukrops. I remember my mom getting us cupcakes and rainbow cookies if we were good at the grocery store and I remember when Ukrops first introduced their fried chicken (the best in the world) and it became a Friday night dinner tradition at our house. Now my kids love all the Ukrops goodies that I loved. I lived in NC for 5 years and you know what I missed most about Richmond? Ukrops! When I came home to visit, I had to stock up on all my favorites. Now, I’m back and I hope that Martin’s will always carry Ukrops food! Also – I agree with other posts – The only birthday cake is Ukrops!!!

The Ukrops roasted chickens are wonderful. My husband and I get two meals off one, because they are so large. Then the rest goes into our favorite recipe for chicken lasagna.

There are so many favorite foods from Ukrop’s, I hardly know where to begin. One personal favorite is the Chicken Cheddar Casserole, I have not seen anything similar from anybody else so I can not even compare it to other companies products.

I agree with Bobby, the bar cake is my favorite! Didn’t Thalhimers used to sell it? The breakfast pizza is also one of my favorites.

Vinegar based N.C. BBQ with the chopped fine country cole slaw on white house rolls…white chicken salad on white house rolls for something cool!! Top off with cupcakes…Ukrops homemade all the way…

Lemon Chess Pie! Tarragon Chicken Salad! Chili with Beef! And, oh, the Sesame Noodles! Yummy! And I agree with at least one other person – Martin’s is good but it isn’t Ukrop’s!
