Bobby Ukrop is Chairman and C.E.O. of Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, a producer of premium-quality, chilled prepared foods and baked goods for food retailers in Viriginia and adjacent states as well as baked goods in 31 states. He serves as Co-Chair of Ukrop’s Threads which provides uniforms and corporate apparel to large food retailers, theme parks, and quick service restaurants across the nation.

He began his business career in 1962 as a courtesy clerk at Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc. while attending George Wythe High School. A 1969 graduate of the University of Richmond (where he played both varsity basketball and golf) and a 1972 graduate of the Darden School at the University of Virginia, Bobby had a 40 year career at Ukrop’s, the last twelve as CEO.

Bobby is actively involved in the community as a co-founder and board member of the Richmond Sports Backers; chair of the Greater Richmond Partnership and SwimRVA; serves on the boards of the Collegiate School, VCU Business School Foundation and Lansing Building Products. He is on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army and previously chaired the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Retail Merchants Association. Bobby just concluded 18 years of service on the board of The First Tee of Greater Richmond and six years with the Greater Richmond Fit4Kids Foundation. He served on the University of Richmond Board of Trustees for 20 years.

Bobby enjoys golf and swimming. He teaches a fifth grade Sunday School class at Second Baptist Church.

Married to wife Jayne since 1969, they have four adult children and eleven grandchildren.
